(Atlantic) The Atlantic City Council on Wednesday passed the first reading changing the Storm Utility Billing frequency from semi-annually to an annual cycle.
Atlantic City Clerk Barb Barrick says the average resident’s semi-annual payment is a little over $17.00; the change would make it a one-time payment of a little over $34.00.
The total amount collected is around $215,000. The new billing would occur in the early part of each year, and the city is proposing no rate changes.
