(Des Moines) The Iowa Department of Veterans Affairs is getting a new executive director. Governor Kim Reynolds is appointing Todd Jacobus to the position. The retired Colonel of the U.S. Army and Iowa Army National Guard is also being named the Commandant of the Iowa Veterans Home. Jacobus served 33 years and completed three overseas mission for the state and country. Jacobus’ appointment is effective November 7th and needs confirmation from the Senate.
