(Atlantic) Atlantic Parks and Recreation Director Bryant Rasmussen submitted his resignation earlier this week to follow his passion. Rasmussen, who served four years directing the Park and Recreation, accepted a job with the U.S. Department of Agriculture Soil and Water Conservation District in Mills County.
Rasmussen’s wife, Sam, teaches at the East Mills School System, making the career change a little easier. He says this gives his family the opportunity to all get into one area and a good move all the way around.
Bryant Rasmussen took over the reins as the Parks and Recreation Director in March 2018. His last day on the job is October 21. Bryant and his wife Sam have three children, ages five, seven, and nine.
Atlantic City Administrator John Lund says Bryant did an excellent job for the community. The City will begin the search for a new director in the coming weeks.
