(Cass Co) Environmental Health Director Jotham Arber spoke to the Cass County Board of Supervisors Tuesday morning about radon testing within the county.
Arber presented the results from January to July of 2022.
Arber said high levels of radon over time are associated with lung cancer and skin lesions.
Arber said radon testing kits are available at his office or you can order them online.
Arber also presented well water testing results. He said they test for things like nitrate, E.coli, total bacteria, arsenic, and manganese. Arber recommends getting your wells tested at least once a year.
