Dr. Catherine Satterwhite is the Region 7 Health Administrator, Office of the Assistance Secretary for Heath with the U.S. Health and Human Services Department. Her region includes Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, and Kansas.
Dr. Satterwhite says the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted rural communities differently than their urban counterparts.
The COVID-19 vaccine, Dr. Satterwhite says, is the best way to protect your family from the virus.
With children back in school, Dr. Satterwhite says the vaccine is just another tool you can provide your children to be prepared for school.
She adds it’s never too late to get the COVID-19 vaccine for you or your children.
