(Cass Co.) The Cass County Board of Supervisors this morning decided to hold off on accepting the resignation of County Auditor Sara Harris. The Board also tabled the appointment to fill the vacant position.
In April, the supervisor’s appointed Harris to fill the vacancy up to the November 8 general election. On August 31, Harris submitted her resignation after the Republican Party nominated Kathy Somers as their candidate to run in November.

Supervisor Steve Green said Kathy Somers told him she would be able to come in and sign things over the noon hour or evenings if needed. However, the Board decided to wait to make any decisions until they have all the legal details figured out.
In other news, the Supervisors approved the second half of ARPA funds in the amount of $25,000 each for the Wiota, Massena, Marne, Lewis, Griswold, Cumberland, and Atlantic Fire Departments.
