(Atlantic) The Cass County Supervisors are expected to appoint a Cass County Auditor on Tuesday, to fill the position left open following the resignation of Sara Harris.
In April, the supervisor’s appointed Harris to fill the vacancy up to the November 8 general election. On August 31, Harris submitted her resignation after the Republican Party nominated Kathy Somers as their candidate to run in November.
According to the plan, the Cass County Board of Supervisors will act on Harris’s resignation. The next item is to appoint someone to fill the position.
The Supervisors are also expected to act on; the second half of ARPA funds for the fire departments and approval of leased copier machines.
The Board will also appoint trustees in the townships of Bear Grove and two in Washington.
