(Audubon) Lindsey Sonderman earned the individual title and the Harlan girls scored 21 point to take the team championship on Thursday night in Audubon.
Sonderman crossed the finish line in 21:41. She was one of five Cyclones in the top ten. All of Harlan’s runners placed in the top 15. Brylee Schechinger ran 3rd, Jenna Gessert 4th, Emily Schechinger 6th, Kayla Anderson 7th, Lily Schechinger 11th, and Taylor Bieker 13th.
Emily Albertsen’s runner-up finish helped lead the IKM-Manning girls to reserve honors in the team scoring with 34 points. The Wolves also placed Taylor Beckendorf 5th, Lauren Irlbeck 8th, Raegan Garrision 9th, and Kaitlynn Spoelstra 10th.
Kuemper Catholic placed 3rd with 85 points. Neither Griswold nor Audubon comprised a team score. Josephine Millikan led the Tigers in 22nd. The Wheelers had Madison Burr 33rd and Kari Gaeve 36th.
IKM-Manning had four of the top five boys finishers and scored 20 points for the meet win. Caden Keller won the race in 17:42. The Wolves also had Lane Sams 3rd, Reed Hinners 4th, and Nathan Johnson 5th.
Harlan put four runners in the top ten and scored 39 points to place 2nd. Leading the Cyclones were Ian Shelton in 6th, Joseph Bragg 7th, Kaiden Milliken in 9th, Grant Petersen 10th, and Keaton Heileson 12th.
Tri-Center was 3rd with 88 points, Griswold 4th with 106, and Kuemper Catholic scored 135 to place 5th.
Griswold was led by Cody Dorscher’s 8th place run. Other scoring runners for the Tigers were Nollan Smith 27th, Brayden Lockwood 29th, Holden Jensen 45th, and Tosh Feltner 52nd.
Audubon placed Eli Deist 37th and Mason Steckler 43rd.
