Tigers Head Coach Michael Nordeen is not surprised at his team’s early success.
Nordeen gives much of the credit to the offensive line. Senior running back Riley Fouts leads all of Class 2A in rushing yards with 447. and five touchdowns, which is fourth best in 2A.
Red Oak squares off against Nodaway Valley in non-district play. Coach Nordeen points out the Wolverines passed a lot in week one and switched to more of an option scheme against Shenandoah, led by Boston DeVault, who finished the game at quarterback.
The Wolverines enter week three at 0-2 with losses to Mt. Ayr (54-0) and Shenandoah (20-6).
