(Adair Co.) One person died following a rollover accident in Adair County Tuesday evening.
The Adair County Sheriff’s Office says 42-year-old Sean Hagen, of Prole, was driving a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee westbound on Highway 92 when the Jeep left the roadway and entered the north ditch near 2432 Highway 92. Hagen continued traveling westbound and reentered the roadway and then went back into the north ditch. The Jeep continued westbound in the ditch where it struck a No Passing sign and then reentered the roadway at the intersection of Orange Avenue and Highway 92 where the Jeep went into the north ditch again and rolled approximately three and a half times. Hagen was ejected from the Jeep.
While providing aid, medics on scene advised they could smell alcohol coming from Hagen and also advised that Hagen admitted to previously consuming alcohol prior to the accident.
Hagen passed away at the scene from his injuries.
