Clarinda Boy’s Edge Riverside, Atlantic for Team Title at Home Cross Country Meet

(Clarinda) Treyton Schaapherder and Kyle Wagner led Clarinda to a team title on their home course on Tuesday. Schaapherder finished second and Wagner third in the team scoring. The Cardinals’ three other scorers were; Alex Lihs, 12^th, Grant Barr, 22^nd, and Alex Wyman, 25^th.

Just six points separated the top three teams. Clarinda scored 64-points, Riverside 65, and Atlantic 70.

Mason McCready led Riverside with a 7^th place finish, Brody Henderson, 10^th, Dawson Henderson, 14^th, Eric Duhachek, 16^th, and Teegan Schechinger, 18^th.

Alex Sonntag’s 9^th place led Atlantic, Tyrell Williams, 11^th, Bennett Whetstone, 13^th, Mason McFadden,17^th, and Devon Fields, 20^th.

Mason Houghton of Nebraska City won the individual title, and Riley Blay of Nodaway Valley finished as the runner-up.
