(Oakland) Riverside volleyball heads to the AHSTW tournament off to a hot 2-0 start.
The Lady Dawgs downed both Bedford (25-19, 25-21) and Essex (25-7, 25-1) on Tuesday. Coach Brooke Flathers comments on the performance. “I thought we stuck to our fundamentals and that’s something that’s been a big focus for us early on this season. The girls did a nice job of executing their fundamentals.”
Ayla Richardson registered 14 assists and served a dozen aces. Elyssa Amdor is leading the group in kills with 13 while Madi Baldwin’s 16 digs are a team high.
Saturday’s tournament at AHSTW includes the likes of Atlantic, Denison-Schleswig, AHSTW, CAM, Exira-EHK, East Mills, Essex, and Earlham. “It should be a good tournament and I think competitive all the way around, so it will be fun.”
