(Glenwood) Glenwood hosts Atlantic in a non-district football game on Friday night. The Rams are coming off a week 0 loss to Sioux City, East, 50-33.
The Ram’s passing attack is one bright spot in the loss. Junior Quarterback Kayden Anderson completed 44-passes for 346 yards, five touchdowns, and one interception. Head Coach Cory Faust says Anderson has a strong arm, a carryover from throwing a baseball his entire life.
Wide Out Cody Krause was coming off a spectacular game last week. The senior set a program record for all three receiving categories for a game last week. Krause caught 11-passes for 206-yards and scored three touchdowns. But he’s not Anderson’s only go-to guy. The Rams have two other talented receivers: Renner Bardsley and Payton Longmeyer.
Speaking of moving forward, next up is Atlantic. Coach Faust says Atlantic looks like a strong opponent. He admits all they must go off is the scrimmage tape from last week at Carroll. But Faust notes the Trojans played a lot of different players that play fast, are physical and have big-play ability.
The game kicks off at 7:00 p.m. The pre-game starts at 6:00 p.m. Tom Robinson, Perry Fief, and Kevin Ferguson will have the call on 95.7 FM and video-streamed on westerniowatoday.com.
