(Atlantic) A dozen new hires by the Atlantic Community School District were introduced to the Rotary Club on Tuesday.
The new staff members all got an opportunity to tell the group a little bit about themselves and Superintendent Steve Barber addressed the Rotary Club. “Recently the National News reported there are 380,000 teacher jobs shortage throughout the country.”
Barber admits there were challenges to fill the vacancies, but he’s thankful they’ve found the personnel they have. “We could sit and talk and dwell on the things we are challenged with, but today it is very important we recognize that we have a lot of quality people here.” Barber says, “They are going to make a big difference in the lives of our kids.”
Students will return to school on Tuesday, August 23rd.
