Adair County Arrest Report

(Adair Co.) A Greenfield man was arrested on drug and other charges.

The Greenfield Police Department says Dustin Brian Benge, 39, was arrested August 8^th after officers were called to S Townline Road for a vehicle in the middle of the road. Benge was observed slumped over in the driver seat asleep. The officer woke Benge and began to speak with him when the officer observed an AR platform weapon, a CO2 styled pistol, a pellet gun and needles in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted. A baggie of a white crystal substance and a bud of a green leafy substance was located. Benge was transported to the Adair County Sheriff’s Office where standardized field sobriety testing was conducted. Benge was charged with OWI 2^nd Offense, Felon in Control of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Prescription Drugs, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana) 1^st Offense. Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Benge was held on $12,300 cash or surety bond.

In other activity, the Adair County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jay Ryan Ladd, 48, of Greenfield, on August 8^th on warrants for Contempt – Violation of a No Contact/Protective Order and False Report of Indictable Offense to Public Entity. Ladd was held on $1,300 bond.

The Sheriff’s Office arrested Randal Lee Dill III, 23, of Bridgewater, on August 7^th on a warrant out of Cass County. Dill was turned over directly to Cass County Deputies.

The Sheriff’s Office charged Luis David Penaloza Garcia, 25, of Omaha, Nebraska, on August 11^th for Assault with Bodily Injury after he approached an inmate in the recreation room of the Adair County Jail and began striking him. Bond was set at $1,000 cash or surety.

The Sheriff’s Office cited Kyra Lyn Evans, 21, of Bridgewater, on August 13^th for OWI 1^st Offense.

The Stuart Police Department arrested Jason Glen Dukes, 45, of Lorimor, on August 9^th on a warrant for Violation of Probation. Dukes was held on $2,000 cash or surety bond and a $300 cash or surety warrant out of Dallas County for Driving While License Denied, Suspended, Cancelled or Revoked.

Stuart Police arrested Samantha Ann Wright, 36, of Creston, on August 9^th for Driving While Barred. Wright was held on $2,000 cash or surety bond.

Stuart Police cited Jason Aaron Watson, 45, of Atlantic, on August 1^st of OWI 1^st Offense.

The Adair Police Department cited Michael Allen Leeper, 35, of Adair, on August 10^th for OWI 1^st Offense.
