Shenandoah athlete commits to Kansas for football

(Shenandoah) Blake Herold, of Shenandoah, will play college football at the Division I level.

The Mustang senior announced his commitment Wednesday on social media. According to 247sports.com Herold was offered by the Jayhawks on Tuesday. The 6’4″ 225 pound defensive lineman also had interest from UNI, North Dakota, and North Dakota State. He’s ranked as the 23rd best senior prospect in Iowa and #177 defensive lineman in the country.

Last season Herold recorded 73 tackles, 14.5 tackles for loss, and three sacks. He also caught 60 passes for 712 yards and three TD’s.
