(Harlan) Harlan City Administrator Gene Gettys reported at Tuesday’s City Council meeting that Veterans Memorial Auditorium and Vets Center this past fiscal year registered the highest usage of over 80 events. Gettys says there are already 40 event reservations for next year.
Due to issues with Ash Borer, Gettys reminds users of the stipulations for hauling trees to the yard waste site.
Gettys also mentioned they are working with Snyder and Associates for the extreme bank mitigation on Exchange Street. Getty’s said they would be receiving design plans and expect the project to go out for bid during the first part of September.
Getty says a start date for the overlay project remains undetermined from Lincoln Avenue from Morris to Highway 59 and 7th Street from Hill Street to Dye Street.
