(Audubon) Audubon will take a 12-13 record into the second round of the regional softball tournament. The Wheelers took out West Harrison 12-0 in three innings on Friday night.
Kali Irlmeier allowed just one base runner on the night, a first inning walk of Rylee Evans. She struck out seven of the ten batters she faced.
Audubon left the bases loaded in the 1st inning and did not score, but they cashed in with six runs apiece in the 2nd and 3rd innings to finish the game early.
The 2nd inning featured three hits and four walks. Michelle Brooks doubled in two runs and Kali Irlmeier had an RBI single. Jordan Mulford had a single
Kylee Hartl and Mattie Nielsen each had RBI triples in the 3rd inning before Victoria Asmus delivered the game ending two run single.
West Harrison ends their season at 1-21. Audubon will travel to face Woodbine on Wednesday, July 6th.
