(Atlantic) Eleven-year-old Kaden Frieze, of Lewis, has set up a lemonade stand outside of Farm Bureau Financial Services on 7th Street in Atlantic to raise money for the Combat Veterans Association.
Kaden said this cause is important to him because most of his family was in the military and so once a year he holds a fundraiser for the Combat Vets Association.
“I figured out that most of the World War II veterans are out on the streets, so I wanted to help them,” stated Kaden.
The mission of the Combat Veterans Association is to support and protect those who have defended our country and our freedoms. They provide assistance to veterans, veteran care facilities and other veteran organizations and registered charities.
Kaden is selling lemonade, water, tropical punch and popsicles. His stand will be open until 2:00 or 4:00 p.m. today. He will be open again on Thursday and Friday beginning at 8:00 a.m. until 2 or 4 in the afternoon.
