(Des Moines) The price of regular unleaded gasoline dropped six cents according to the latest AAA weekly fuel report.
As of Wednesday, June 22, the price of regular unleaded gasoline fell six cents from last week, and $1.83 higher than one year ago. The national average is $4.96, down five cents from last week’s price,
The price of global crude oil fell $15.50 per barrel over last week, currently at $102.51. Brent crude oil fell $12.36, and is currently priced at $108.08. One year ago, West Texas Intermediate Crude Oil sold for $73.06 and Brent sold for $74.92.
Retail diesel prices in Iowa rose 11 cents this week with a statewide average of $5.44. One year ago, diesel prices averaged $3.06 in Iowa. The current Iowa diesel price is 37 cents less than the national average of $5.81.
Wholesale ethanol held steady and is currently priced at $2.16.The current Des Moines Terminal/Rack Prices are $3.62 for U87-E10, $4.18 for Unleaded 87 (clear), $4.43 for ULSD#2, $4.61 for ULSD#1, and $3.20 per gallon for E-70 prices.
Natural gas prices fell $.84 at the Henry Hub reporting site and are currently priced at $6.77/MMbtu.
