(Atlantic) The Atlantic Food Pantry is moving to a new location in September on the south side of the building at 704 W. 7th Street, the former “After 5 Somewhere” liquor store. The new site gives pantry officials additional storage space while allowing drive-through distribution.
The pantry will be open for two hours on Thursdays. Client vehicles will enter the facility from the north on Palm Street, then west on the access road in front of the building for pickup. The cars will then exit north down the alley towards 6th Street. For safety reasons, traffic cones and barricades will prevent vehicles from entering or exiting Highway 6.
The Pantry Board members, volunteers, and clients thank Dr. Chet Meneely and Dr. Tim Kriefels before him for allowing the pantry to use its current location for over three decades at affordable rent.
