(Atlantic) The Atlantic School Board approved the girl’s wrestling cooperative sharing agreement on Wednesday.
The agreement facilitates a shared 7-12 grade girl’s wrestling program with five participating schools. ; CAM serves as the host school; the remaining four are Atlantic, Griswold, Nodaway Valley, and Southwest Valley.
CAM will host all practices in the wrestling room in Massena and hire the coaching staff and volunteer coaches. CAM is responsible for the Head coach’s salary and benefits. The four other participating schools are responsible for an equal share of the cost of the assistant coach’s salary and benefits.
The participating schools will have a say in the team mascot and name. The School District will provide transportation to Massena. But transportation to matches will be the responsibility of the CAM School District and originate and end at CAM.
The cooperative sharing agreement goes into effect on July 1, 2022.
In other business; the board approved contracts for Kelbe Flathers-Summer School Para, and Mandy Parks, Middle School Secretary. The board approved the Computer Science Plan, Progress Invoice for the Middle School Renovation project for one-million-one-thousand-seven hundred-twenty four dollars, and three cents. The School ended the session by approving the fiscal year end bills for June 30, 2022.
