(Area) Severe thunderstorms carrying high winds and hail-downed trees and power lines as it swept across southwest Iowa late Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning. The National Weather Service storm damage report is listed below:
10:34 p.m. -three-quarter inch hail was reported one mile northwest of Atlantic
12:10 a.m.- 65 miles per hour wind gust four miles west of Silver City
12:12 a.m.-power lines down and power outages in Glenwood
12:16 a.m. – 75 mile per hour wind gusts five miles northeast of Council Bluffs
12:18 a.m.-90-mile-per-hour wind gust reported in Silver City in Mills County.
12:20 a.m. -shingles blown off and tree limbs broken off four miles southeast of Council Bluffs
12:20 a.m. – 60-mile-per-hour wind gusts in Treynor
12:25 a.m. -Three miles southeast of Treynor, eight to ten trees snapped, and significant damage to a home and outbuildings.
12:25 a.m.-six inch tree limb down in Macedonia, and power outages.
12:35 – a.m. one-inch hail was reported in Macedonia
12:35 a.m.-three miles east of Macedonia, large trees down in Wheeler Grove Township
12:40-a.m.-One business sustained structural damage, trees downed power lines in Carson and power outages.
12:46 a.m. 70-mile per hour wind gusts in Elliott
12:54 a.m.-Large tree fell on a vehicle in Griswold
1:48 a.m. – Three quarter inch hail was reported four miles northeast of Casey
