(Guthrie Center) Four Republican nominations were up for grabs in four District Supervisor races in Guthrie County.
On the Republican ticket in Supervisor District #1, Jerome J.D. Kuster received 103-votes, Clifford Carney, 87, and Jack Lloyd, 29. Kuster will face off against Jacki Sloss, running unopposed in the Democratic primary.
In Supervisor District #2, Brian Johnson scored 222 votes and defeated Clinton Deardorf’s 120 to earn the Republican nomination. No candidate filed for the Democratic nomination in District #2.
In Supervisor District #3, Maggie Armstrong defeated William Halling, 290-67, for the Republican nomination. Armstrong will square off Tom Flanery, running unopposed for the District #3 Democratic nomination. Flanery garnered 88 votes.
In Supervisor District #4, Steve Smith earned the Republican nomination over JT. Heron, 188-93. Smith will face Democrat Michael Herbert in the November general election. Herbert, an unopposed, received 88-votes.
Republican Tristen Richard ran unopposed for Recorder, and Republican Brenda Campbell unopposed for County Treasurer.
Democrat John A. Maschman ran unopposed for County Attorney with 413 votes.
