(Washington D.C.) The Associated Press announced Chuck Grassley wins the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate in the Iowa primary election. The announcement comes with just 10 percent of the votes cast. Grassley defeated challenger Jim Carlin of Sioux City.
Grassley 88, served eight terms in the Iowa House of Representatives, three terms in the U.S. House of Representatives, and four decades in the U.S. Senate.
