(Atlantic) Atlantic Mayor Grace Garrett says the City Code Enforcement Officers conducted 31 code inspections on Wednesday due to complaints. Garrett says besides the 31 inspections, code enforcement officers found 12 additional violations.
Garrett says the city is trying to work with the violators, but with that said, citizens are free to submit a complaint or concern but understand the town has a process they must work through and currently tweaking that process.
Mayor Garrett also thanked those citizens for doing their part in maintaining their property.
Last month the City Council passed a resolution changing the height of grass to nine inches, including weeds.
Some of the other possible violations include; vehicles parking in yards, signs in the city right of way, and household trash and garbage must be removed every seven days.
