(Cass Co.) Jason Rouse, Cumberland Fire Chief, made a presentation to the Board of Supervisors this morning to request American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding.
Rouse said the funding would go toward new air packs for the Fire Department.
Rouse said while looking through their tanks he noticed that their oldest tank had a date of 1988 and the newest had the date of 2004.
The Supervisors took no action on the ARPA funding request this morning. They asked Rouse to track down some final details and numbers and bring that back to the board.
In other news, the Supervisors tabled action on approval for another new employee for the Cass County Treasurers Office. Supervisor Steve Green told Treasurer Tracey Marshall that they can’t make a hiring decision until the publication dates are made.
The Board told Tracey that she can bring the new employee request back to the Board on June 7th, which she agreed to.
The Supervisors then approved the rural transit system joint participation agreement with SWIPCO in the amount of $6,000. And, the board approved final resolutions for ARPA funding for the Anita Child Care Center and Cass County Fire Association as previously presented.
