(Des Moines) The Iowa House reached an agreement on House File 2130, which will allow ATV/UTVs on county highways as a part of a statewide law.
Iowa House District 21 Representative Tom Moore said, “Currently counties have to designate county highways for use of ATV/UTVs. The bill would prohibit counties from passing ordinances or resolutions against the use of ATV/UTVs on county highways. This bill was amended to include that ATV riders must be 18 years or older and have liability coverage.”
Moore said the ATV/UTV must also have headlights, taillights, turn signals, and mirrors.
