(Area) District Golf Tournaments will take place on May 16th. Teams in the top two at each site will advance to state along with the top two individuals not on a qualifying team. If a host school is in the top two then a third team will also qualify.
Ames will be the location of the state meet. Ames Golf & Country Club, Coldwater Golf Links, and Veenker Memorial Golf Course will rotate hosting each class over the next three years.
Class 1A
The Audubon Wheelers are one of ten teams in the field at Bishop Garrigan (Spring Valley Golf Course). They advanced from last week’s Sectional Tourney at Lakeside Golf Course in Fort Dodge with a round of 364.
Boyer Valley is hosting a District Tourney at Majestic Hills in Denison. CAM sends their hole team to the competition while Griswold has individuals Kamron Brownlee and Caleb Oakleaf.
Class 2A
Treynor and Clarinda compete at Shenandoah’s American Legion Course. Kuemper Catholic and Panorama will play at the Carroll Country Club. Jaden Forsythe, of ACGC, is an individual qualifier at Carroll.
Class 3A
Atlantic freshman Tristan Hayes is an individual qualifier for the District Meet at Spencer. Lewis Central and Carroll are two of the area team qualifiers.
