(Pottawattamie Co.) Two people involved in a mail theft case in Pottawattamie County have been arrested.
The Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s Office says on May 3rd, at approximately 1:42 p.m., several agencies were involved in a mail theft case that began on Simms Avenue and eventually turned into a vehicle pursuit.
Joseph Thomas Solomon, 37, of Norridge, Illinois, was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana) 1st Offense, Possession of Burglar Tools, Providing False Identification Information, and Theft 5th.
Savannah Shavon Shandor, 29, of Chicago, Illinois, was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana) 1st Offense, Eluding, Possession of Burglar Tools, Providing False Identification Information, and Theft 5th.
Deputies recovered unknown medicinal pills, prybars and brass knuckles, marijuana, a grinder and glass pipes, multiple mail items from the Council Bluffs area; Chicago area; Las Vegas area; Elm Creek and Hershey, Nebraska area; the Hudson, Colorado area, multiple checks and receipts, an Office Depot check starter pack, multiple notebooks with handwritten notes, multiple IDs, License Plates, Credit Cards and Gift Cards, four cell phones, a Jabra Bluetooth Earpiece and a USB Drive.
