(Mills Co.) One person was injured in a rollover accident in Mills County on Monday.
The Mills County Sheriff’s Office says 68-year-old Willard Dale Cook was driving a 2007 Pontiac southwest on Levi Road at approximately 8:25 a.m. While traversing a left-hand curve, the Pontiac went off the travel portion of the roadway and went airborne. Cook then rolled the vehicle off an embankment where the Pontiac came to rest at the lower level of the hill. It is unknown what caused the accident. Cook was transported to a hospital by Glenwood Rescue with non-life threatening injuries. The vehicle is a total loss.
The Sheriff’s Office also reports 56-year-old David Brown, of Omaha, Nebraska, was driving a 2014 Nissan south on 221st, approaching Barrus Road, on Tuesday when a deer ran out into the roadway. The Nissan collided with the deer and went into the ditch, rolling onto its top. No injuries were reported.
