(St. Louis, Missouri) The Mid America CropLife Association Board of Directors selected twelve college students to participate in the MACA Young Leader Scholarship Program. Atlantic graduate and Iowa State University student Nathan Behrends is one of the twelve.
The scholarship program exposes future agriculturists to the crop protection industry and potential career opportunities in its tenth year. Recipients receive financial compensation, additional training for finding a job, plus the chance to network with MACA members.
Nathan Behrends is attending Iowa State University and majoring in Agricultural Studies with a minor in Agronomy. He expects to graduate in 2023. He is interning with John Deere.
After completing their summer internships, the scholarship recipients receive a $2,000 scholarship to assist with their tuition expenses.
