(Atlantic) The judge will take a change of venue under advisement in the jury trial of the State of Iowa versus Alison Dorsey. The Prosecution is asking for a change of venue due to the publicity in the case.
On November 4th, the Judge declared a mistrial in Cass County District Court after a deadlocked jury couldn’t make a decision. The Cass County woman was on trial for the death of an infant in her care in October 2019. The State charged Dorsey with First Degree Murder and Child Endangerment resulting in death.
A pre-trial conference is set for June 15 at 1:00 o’clock p.m. The case is scheduled to go to trial for a second time on June 20, at 9:30 a.m.
