(Hamburg) A Fremont County woman is in custody stemming from an accident in March.
Fremont County authorities arrested Ashley Frost of Hamburg on Wednesday for OWI 1st offense, Reckless Driving, cited for no SR-22 Insurance, Violation of a Restricted License (Ignition Interlock), and a Stop Sign Violation.
On March 20, 2022, at around 7:30 p.m., Fremont County Deputies responded to a call in the 1900 block of Park Street in Hamburg for a report of an intoxicated female driving recklessly in a churchyard.
The 1998 Dodge Dakota, driven by Frost, fled the scene before deputies’ arrival. Witnesses reported the pickup traveling at a high-speeds southbound on Washington Street at E Street. It collided with a southbound 2021 Dodge Ram, operated by Charles Mincer of Lake Toxaway, North Carolina. Frost’s vehicle then left the roadway, entering a ditch at Washington and D Street.
Emergency personnel treated Mincer and his passenger at the scene. Emergency crews transported Frost to Grape Community Hospital in Hamburg with serious injuries.
