(Anita) There is one change to CAM School District’s 2022-2023 school Calendar. The School Board approved the calendar following a public hearing earlier in the session at Monday’s meeting.
CAM Schools Superintendent Paul Croghan says the first day of school is August 23, and the last day of school on May 25. The change is a two-hour early out on Wednesdays. Croghan is working with the Coaches and Sponsors to eliminate afternoon practices.
The School Board also approved the fiscal year 2023 budget and a levy rate of $9.9159 per one thousand dollars of valuation.
CAM School district students and staff will be starting next school year with some new technology. The School Board approved a $313,826.00 technology upgrade for new laptops for the teachers, student chrome books, Ipads for the elementary students, and desktops for the secretaries and lunch department. Croghan says the current system has reached its maximum for updates.
The upgrade is funded through GEERS money, ESSER Funds, and PPEL and SAVE dollars.
