(Atlantic) The Atlantic City Council approved the signing of an Operator by affidavit agreement for Fontanelle.
Atlantic Waste Water Treatment Plant Superintendent Tim Snyder says this is an identical agreement with Massena. Fontanelle updated their system and needs an Operator until their staff gets their Grade II. The deal includes $350 per month in lab fees and $375 annually for E. Coli tests.
The intent is all Grade II operators and above will get experience working with these systems to increase their knowledge of wastewater treatment beyond the Atlantic plant. The agreement includes once-a-week visits and the ability to charge for extra trips above the one per week.
The agreement is similar to the one the City of Atlantic has with Massena.
