(Lewis) Emily Hanson began her duties as the new Library Director at the Lewis Public Library & Heritage Center on Friday.
Emily is originally from New Jersey and moved to Iowa about ten years ago. She said she was in Atlantic for about nine years until she, her husband and two children moved to Lewis over the summer.
Emily said she has some big goals for the library.
Emily said an Open House will be held at the Library on Friday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. There will be cake, snacks, refreshments and a scavenger hunt for the kids at 4:00 p.m. in the Heritage Center.

Hours for the Lewis Public Library:
Monday: 9 to 11 a.m. and 3:30 to 6:00 p.m.
Tuesday: Closed
Wednesday: 2 to 6 p.m.
Thursday: 9 to 11 a.m. and 3:30 to 6:00 p.m.
Friday: 12 to 5 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
