(Farragut) On April 1, 2022, at approximately 8:51 a.m., the Fremont County Sheriff’s Dispatch received a call of an accident that occurred in the 3700 block of Highway 2 northeast of Farragut.
The vehicle was traveling east during the overnight hours on Highway 2 and appeared to have lost control and traveled into the south ditch, crossed a fence and then entered a drainage ditch, striking the south bank before coming to rest.
Brandon Michaelis, 29, of Rock Port, Missouri, was found partially ejected and had not been wearing his seatbelt. It was determined by EMS personnel that Michaelis was deceased and a coroner was called.
The accident is still under investigation.
The Fremont County Sheriff’s was assisted at the scene by Farragut Fire and Rescue, Shenandoah Fire and Rescue and the Fremont County Coroner’s Office.
