(Cass Co.) The Cass County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday approved increasing septic system, time of transfer and water well permit rates.
Jotham Arber, with Environmental Health, said the current rates are $175 for the septic permits, $250 for the time of transfer, and $150 for the water well permits. Arber said the rates for septic permits will go to $225, time of transfer to $300, and water well permits to $175. Arber explained that the rates have not changed in the last ten years
The rate changes will go into effect July 1st.
Arber also mentioned that they are planning to start having an Environmental Health Specialist at the Public Health office at least once a week this summer that way folks can meet with someone in an office rather than in their house or on their land.
