(Maryville) Lawson won the team title with 102-points at the 12-team Northwest Missouri Boy’s High School Invitational Indoor Track meet on Saturday at Northwest Missouri State University. Maryville finished second with 94, Lewis Central, third, 91, St. Albert, fourth, 69, and Atlantic finished fifth, with 61 points.
Lewis Central’s strength in the sprints showed early with top performances in the 60 meters, 60-meter hurdles, and 200. Jonathan Humpal and Lucciano Fidone finished second and third in the 60, Lual Maker, ran second in the 60 Hurdles, and Humpal grabbed the second-place spot in the 200-Fidone was third. Ethan Eichorn added a first in the 3200, 4×400 2nd, and Humpal topped the field in the Long Jump.
St. Albert’s Brendan Monahan, won the 60 and 200 Meters, Colin Lillie outran everyone in the 1600, and finished second behind Eichorn in the 3200. Brandon McCall won the Shot Put.
Atlantic came away with some solid performances. Colton Rasmussen finished second in the High Jump and finished third in the 60 Meter Hurdles. Caden Andersen ran an impressive 2:05.14 and finished third in the 800-meters. Drew Engler and Zane Berg brought home third and fifth place finishes respectively in the 3200 meters, and finished second in the Distance Medley, and third in the 4×400 meter relays.
