Peppers and Morningside women advance with win over Carroll

(Sioux City) Morningside improved to 30-5 on the season with a 71-67 victory against Carroll in the NAIA Women’s Basketball Tournament on Thursday afternoon.

Sophia Peppers, of Exira-EHK, is a senior for the Mustangs. She contributed 9 points and 8 rebounds. They advance to the Elite 8 to face #1 seed (32-1)Southeastern (FL) on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

The Mustangs were in the NAIA Final Four last year.
