(Champaign, IL) Illinois used a 13-4 stretch midway through the second half to get back in the game and beat Iowa 74-72 on Sunday. The Illini took the lead for good on a pair of free-throws with 5:00 left in the game.
Keegan Murray posted 22 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 blocks, but made only 7/22 from the field. Tony Perkins added 17 points, 12 rebounds, and 5 assists. Kris Murray came off the bench to score 13 points.
Iowa led by seven with just over 12:00 remaining, but couldn’t hold the lead. They take a 22-8 record into the Big Ten Tournament.
