(Atlantic) The Cass County Board of Supervisors this morning approved a resolution setting the FY2023 Maximum Property Tax Dollars.
The approval followed a public hearing in which there were no comments.
The maximum property tax dollars requested for FY2023 represents an increase of 2.98 percent in General County Services and represents an increase of two-percent in Rural County Services from the maximum property tax dollars requested for FY2022.
The Board then set March 15th as the public hearing on the FY2023 Budget.
In other news, the Supervisors approved the appointment of Curtis Bierbaum to Condemnation in Eminent Domain serving the owner-operators of agricultural property.
The Board also approved the appointment of Doreen South as a Deputy in the office of the County Auditor with no change in her rate in compensation effective March 1st. This changes her position from Clerk to Deputy. Deputy Auditor Sheri Karns….
The Board then approved the 28E Agreement for Multicounty 28E Agreement regarding Juvenile Detention Center and Emergency Juvenile Services. Board Chairman Steve Baier said they have been a part of this for around 26 years and it hasn’t been modified since the mid-90’s.
The Board also approved the 28E Agreement for ISAC Group Benefits Program effective July 1st.
