(Anita) Monday night on KSOM in a Class 1A District 15 matchup, CAM hosts IKM-Manning.
CAM coach Ian Hunt knows IKM-Manning is no slouch. “Their record does not show how good they are. They do a lot of great things on defense with hustle and effort. They have some upperclassmen that know what they are doing out there.”
CAM’s offense runs through Lane Spieker who averages over six assists per game. “He is hugely important. I think he’s one of the most under rated players in our conference. The scoring numbers don’t always jump out at you, but he had 20 against Ar-We-Va and he always does a great job of controlling the ball for us. And we always put him on the opposing team’s best player. He’s an outstanding on ball and off ball defender. He just kind of controls the floor out there.”
The winner of this game takes on either Exira-EHK or Nodaway Valley on Thursday. The Spartans and Wolverines meet in game one of a doubleheader from Anita. We’ll have both contests on the air with coverage starting at around 6:15 p.m.
