(Underwood) Underwood crowned seven champions in the District Wrestling Tournament Saturday in Underwood and won the team championship with 150 points.
Molly Allen (106), Blake Allen (120), Gable Porter (132), Stevie Barnes (138), Hagen Heistand (145), Carter Davis (195), and Easton Eledge (285) all won their bracket for the Eagles.
AHSTW is sending Denver Pauley (170) to state as a district champ. Garrison Gettler (160) and Henry Lund (220) each qualified for the Vikings as a runner-up. Winning wrestlebacks were Hayden Fischer (138), Nate Jorgensen (195).
Riverside got titles from Jace Rose (126) and Nolan Moore (152). Taven Moore advanced to state with a wrestleback win at 132. Davis Bramman did the same at 106.
Audubon’s Cooper Nielsen earned the 220 pound title.
ACGC’s Tegan Slaybaugh claimed top honors at 113.
Bedford/Lenox sends three to state as District runners-up with Dylan Stein (126) and Jake Cox (182) plus Chase England won a 120 pound wrestleback to qualify.
SW Valley also had a pair of 2nd place finishes. State qualifiers for the Timberwolves are Brayden Maeder (113) and Bradlee Grantz (170).
Caleb Iliff won the 160 pound title for Treynor. Daniel Gregory was the heavyweight runner-up.
Tri-Center’s Brecken Freeberg goes to state as the 182 pound district champ.
East Mills will have Ryan Stortenbecker in the state field as the 145 pound district runner-up.
St. Albert’s David Helton won a 152 pound wrestleback to advance.
