(Glenwood) Atlantic/CAM crowned two district champions, and four runners-up on Saturday at Glenwood.
Aiden Smith pinned Jesse Jens of Harlan in 29 seconds in the semi-finals and posted a 28-second pin over Dreylen Schweitzer, of Carroll in 28 seconds in the finals to advance to the state tournament as a district champion.
In the semifinals, Ethan Follmann pinned Luke Freund, of Harlan, in 3:56. Follman fell short to Matthew Beem of Glenwood in the finals, 11-7. Follmann came back in the wrestle back and defeated Cole Scamman of Shenandoah by fall in 1:41.
In the semifinals, Easton O’Brien won by a 5-3 decision over Luke Musich of Harlan. McKinley Robbins of Greene County defeated O’Brien by 12-4 major decision. No, wrestle back, Easton Easton earns a spot in the State Tournament as a district runner-up.
Brian South pinned Tate Mayberry of Glenwood in the semi-finals in a time of 3:10. Gavin Scheuerman topped South 6-1 in the finals. South fought back in the wrestle-back with a 6-1 decision over Briley Hayes and a spot in the Class 2A State Tournament.
Kadin Stutzman dominated the 170-pound weight class at Glenwood. In the semifinals, senior defeated Tyler Boldra of Glenwood by a fall in 1:38. In the finals, Stutzman pinned Sterling Rodman of Carroll in 1:01.
In the semifinals, Brenden Casey won by a 12-4 major decision over Matt Schwery of Harlan. C.J. Carter of Glenwood tech called Casey, but Brenden came back in the wrestle back round and defeated Jagger Luther of Creston in overtime to earn a spot in the State Wrestling Tournament.
