(Greenfield) Nodaway Valley boys cross country coach Darrell Burmeister is in the running for a big award.
Burmeister was notified this week that he is one of eight finalists of the National Coach of the Year for Boys Cross County by the National High School Athletic Coaches Association.
Burmeister was also a finalist for the award in 2018 and there is a three year waiting period before you can be nominated again.
The National Convention this year will be at the Prairie Meadows Convention Center in Altoona, Ia. June 20-22.
