(Omaha) Creighton earned a 54-52 home victory over Butler on Tuesday night. The Bluejays trailed by as much as nine points in the first half before clawing back. An Arthur Kaluma layup with 13:58 left in the game gave Creighton the lead for good.
Ryan Hawkins posted 15 points on 6/9 shooting. Kaluma led all scorers with 16. The Bluejays pushed the lead to as large as eight points in the second half and held off a Butler push down the stretch.
14-8 Creighton goes to 6-5 in the Big East. They’ll travel to Georgetown Saturday.
