The Supervisors will decide on these tax rebates on a case-by-case basis.
In other news, the Supervisors approved the plans for the bridge rehabilitation project in collaboration with the City of Atlantic on W. 6th Street heading out to the airport.
Cass County Engineer Trent Wolken said the repair work on the bridge could take around two months and the bridge will be completely closed. He said right now the bridge has a load limit of three ton. The cost to repair the bridge is a little over $400,000 and the cost will be split with the City of Atlantic.
The Supervisors also approved a resolution for the Cass County FY2022 Budget Amendment. They approved the end of probationary employment status and set the pay rate for the remainder of FY22 for Auditor’s Assistant Doreen South, who was hired in October 2021, at $20 per hour. And, they approved the appointment of Rocky Anderson as Pleasant Township Clerk. The Supervisors are still looking for someone to fill the Brighton Township Trustee position and two Cass County Zoning Commissioners.
