(Atlantic) Atlantic High School senior Bryan York is a 2022 Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation Scholarship semifinalist. According to the Atlantic Community Schools Facebook page, York learned last week he is one of 1,617 students chosen as a semifinalist out of 68,000 applicants.
The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation exists to bring better to the world through investment in exceptional high school students dedicated to leadership, service, and action that positively affects others.
Bryan York is a student representative on the SIACC Committee, a 2022 Class Officer, and actively involved with the Booster Club. Additionally, he participates in Band, FFA, 4H, The Community School Garden, and is active in the First United Methodist Church. York plans to attend Iowa State University.
The committee will reduce the number of semifinalists to 250, with 150 of the finalists selected as Coca-Cola Scholars, and receive a $20,000 college Scholarship.
